Blessings - the greatest
blessing is Jesus!
The greatest blessing of all
Bless You exists to help spread blessings to many people in a printed form that
will be cherished for a long time to come.  The greatest blessing came over two
thousand years ago and has impacted and changed the lives of millions of
people - and it is not for sale.  The greatest blessing that could ever be
conceived was and is Jesus, the Christ.  It is from this one man that hope exists
for the human race.  This was a man who claimed to not only be God but to be
the advocate and the ransom between God and humankind.

The idea is fantastic and simple at the same time but the person of Jesus not
only commands but merits its belief.  Many have considered Jesus to be a great
teacher, a moral leader or a good person.  However if He is not who He claimed
to be, He could be none of those.  His closest followers gave their lives in the
belief of His claims.  These were men who lived day and night with Him for three
years.  These were the same dispondant men following His death.  These
followers were convinced of His deity to the point of torture and death.

The good news is quite simple.  God created humanity for His own glory but
humanity rebelled and chose against God.  There is no one alive who has not
violated God's laws and the consequence of of our violations is death.  The
penalty of death is not proportional to the violation, it is proportional to the
violated.  We see this principle at work in our daily lives.  The action of firing a
weapon in the air at one's home will probably not meet with serious
consequences however firing a weapon in the air near the president of the
United States will result in a major ordeal if not legal charges.  Both are offenses
but the violated determines the degree of the consequence.  The God of the
universe deserves unqualified allegiance and requires absolute purity.  Nothing
less is acceptable and the bad news is that nothing like that is humanly
attainable.

The good news, and the great blessing is that because of the bad news, this all
holy God, in His mercy, made a way for humanity to be reconciled to Himself.  It
required a great sacrifice on His part but it is a free gift to all who believe.  God
sent His one and only Son to live on this earth.  This would be an incredible
sacrifice on its own but the penalty for the volations of God's law still required
death.  Jesus Christ took that penalty upon Himself so that many others may live.
His sacrifice was a complete and full payment of the penalty of our violations
against God.  It is through the death of Jesus that we may now stand before
God and though we are guilty we may stand behind the person of Jesus Christ
who took our penalty and presents us to God as free and clear.

We were created to have a realationship with God.  There is an emptiness
without Him that we may try to fill with many other things but it can only be filled
by the presence of God in our lives.  Jesus makes that possible. Without Him
your life will never be complete.  He is the greatest blessing that you could ever
know and he stands with open arms ready to receive you.  His love is beyond any
earthly love you could experience.  His power is beyond anything you could
imagine.  His grace is for the worst sinner and the most pious just the same.  All
have the same need.

Call out to Him today!  We can help but don't take our word on it read what God's
Word has to say.

Romans 3:23:
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23:
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.

John 3:16:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his
Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Titus 3:4 speaking of those already redeemed in Jesus,
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us , not
because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.  He saved
us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he
poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our savior, so that , having
been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Colosians 1:15 speaking of Jesus
He is the image of the invisible God,  the firstborn over all creation.  For by him all
things were created:  things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for
him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. . . For God was
pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to
himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace
through his blood, shed on the cross.

God not only promises us forgiveness and redemption but He offers us a
position in His family with all the rights (and responsibilities) of a family member.
He will bring you into His family and make you an heir to eternal life.  Will you
